R Harps Merlin

After becoming the exclusive Eastern US dealer for R Harps, we just received our first shipment of their amazing 35-string Merlin Harp. Luthier Rick Rubarth’s goal was to make a very large sounding harp in the smallest package possible. The result is a light-weight harp built with bridge-like engineering precision to create a wonderfully sweet tone that will seduce anyone to increase their practice time. The price is very competitive ($3,100 with case plus $200 for factory pickup) for the sound quality and durable construction. Click on any picture for a close-up view.

At the 2005 NE FL Scottish Highland Games, after renowned harper Diane Schneider bought one of our remarkable R Harp Merlins, it became the buzz of the Harp Competition. Diane’s renowned research with the Mayo Clinic reveals that deep sounds produce more healing. The word was that the Merlin gives the deepest vibes per dollar among Celtic harps. This fits maker Rick Rubarth’s goal to make a large sounding harp in the smallest package possible. The result is a light-weight harp built with bridge-like engineering precision to create a sweet tone from strings with moderate tension that will seduce anyone to increase their practice time.

Renowned Celtic harpers, Grainne Hambly and William Jackson also had high praise for the Merlin. Grainne's comment was "I love the sound of that harp. What a great value!" while William added that "It has a great base."

Preserve a tradition. Grow roots, significance, harmony and balance.
