  •  The Savannah Celtic Session.

The picture shows the half of us that made it to the last session in the old store. The Savannah Celtic Session has played for the Irish Festival, Savannah Folk Music Society, Sentient Bean Coffee House. This is fun music, full of life. Our repertoire includes Celtic dance music, ballads and airs.

  •  The Coastal Folk Harp Society.

A chapter of the International Society for Folk Harpers and Craftsmen meets once per month at the Folk Traditions Store. David Dirlam is President, Anne Durant Vice President. We help to organize harp events ranging from workshops by well-known harpists to the Harp Ensemble.

  •  The Savannah Harp Ensemble

Beautiful souls, setting and sounds. We raised $360 for the local Red Cross fund for Hurricane evacuees. They are serving over 800 people with no financial help from the National RC. Just formed in the summer of 2005, our repertoire is growing, but audiences are already raving about the unique listening experience that we provide.

  •  Amhran Savannah

Multi-instrumentalists Daniel Watkins (Celtic, Renaissance and contemporary guitar plus whistle, flute, fiddle and bodhran) and David Dirlam (Celtic, Renaissance and classical flute and recorders plus whistle and Celtic harp). Amhran Savannah has played for a wide variety of local events including weddings, church and synagogue events, the Oatland Island Renaissance Faire, and various art and business openings.

  •  Pedal Harp

Kristin Gustafson received her BA in music from Loyola University of Chicago. She is well known in the Coastal Empire as a harp teacher and Director of the Savannah Harp Ensemble. She performs every Sunday brunch at the Mansion on Forsyth Park and for numerous weddings and private events. She will play a solo classical concert at next spring's Savannah Music Festival.

  •  Pedal and Celtic Harp

Kathy Pearce received her BA in music from Jacksonville University and studied from childhood under the renowned, late Artiss DeVolt Zacharias. Recently, she discovered a passion for the smaller folk harp and developed a tremendous appetite for traditional tunes. Kathy resides in Jacksonville, FL where she teaches and is currently Harp Chair for the Northeast Florida Highland Games, President of the 1st Coast Folk Harp Society, and Treasurer for the Scottish Harp Society of America.

  •  Celtic Harp

Leslie Adair has played harp for more than a decade. She is working on her Therapeutic Harp Practitioner certification, plays regularly for hospice and has performed numerous weddings.

  •  Celtic Harp

Anne Durant studied harp under renowned Celtic Harper, Nancy Bick Clark and is Vice President of the Coastal Folk Harp Society. She specializes in Scottish, Irish and medieval music.

  •  Flutes, Recorders and Celtic Harp

David Dirlam studied flute under William Hubbard at Ball State University, performed with the Green Bay Symphony (including flute and solo Alto Recorder) and has played in and founded numerous chamber ensembles specializing in Classical, Celtic and Renaissance music. In Savannah he has added Celtic harp, studying under Dean Owens and Kristin Gustafson. He has had the great pleasure of performing in duos with all the musicians listed above.

Preserve a tradition. Grow roots, significance, harmony and balance.
