Ten Reasons

Music is one activity that provides comprehension without study. We have chosen to focus on two of mankind's first instruments: the flute and the harp. Both instruments have evolved into a variety of forms. The forms we have chosen date from the first century after Savannah's founding. They are crafted using modern techniques, most with electric powered machines and some even with computers. But in the hands of their players, the experience is remarkably close to what was felt by the historical players of these traditional instruments.

We have chosen instruments where the playing depends intimately on the nature of the performer. The flute player's need to take breaths reminds you of the living qualities of the player. Folk flutes and harps are gentle on the ears. Folk flutes enable a sweet slide of fingerprints across wood grain and folk harps resound with the texture and buoyancy of the exotic woods that their design enables. There is a quiet pleasure to folk flutes and folk harps that can soothe the most hectic life or scattered soul.

We have chosen instrument makers to allow us to offer a variety of instruments. With each maker, no matter what the price range, we look for quality, integrity and value. We are not only proud to sell their instruments, but we are also proud to know our instrument makers. This is because in every case we have detected in them a striving for roots, significance, harmony and balance in their own lives. We believe not only that this striving is embedded in their craftsmanship, but also that through our work with them and with you we will together add a little to the roots, significance, balance and harmony of the world.

Preserve a tradition. Grow roots, significance, harmony and balance.
